Thanks to the great support of our awesome fans, Voodoo Puppet won the Cincinnati Entertainment Award for Best Blues Band!

The Puppet is currently on hiatus while Brother James and Harry write and record some new music.  In the meantime, catch the members of the Puppet with their new projects:

  1. Brother James is playing with Tempted Souls.

  2. Harry Harvey is playing with Tim Rae (the Puppet’s original singer).

  3. Tim Tiernan is fronting the band Leadfoot Johnny.

  4. Greg Roberts is currently working on his solo acoustic gigs and looking for a new drummer gig.

  5. Leo Clarke, our unofficial fifth Beatle, is headed to Memphis for the
2012 International Blues Challenge!  Lot’s of luck -- we’re rooting for you, pal.

Voodoo Puppet, the Cincinnati-based blues, rock, and soul band, plays upbeat, danceable blues, roadhouse hits, blues-inspired classic rock, Motown, soul, and Cajun favorites. Their road-tested song list is packed with popular, upbeat tunes designed to get a wide variety of crowds up and dancing and keep them entertained all night. And their New Orleans/Cajun flavor transports one to a back porch on the bayou or seedy juke joint in the Big Easy, for a truly unique experience.

Their music is a unique blend of classic blues and gritty blues-rock, in the spirit of classic 60s and early 70s bands’ approach to the genre. Though they play Chicago-style, Delta, and other forms of blues, their music still centers on raw energy and a loose, improvisational style.
